Native American Made Ceremonial Masks by La Ne Ayo
These handcrafted masks are life-size limited edition pieces. Each mask represents an individual who lived between 1800 and 1850. His face paint was his signature, all could be identified from a great distance. Each mask is paired with pelts and beads that would have been available in the area of North American where these men lived. The faces are ceramic, the eyes are life-like, and the pelts are all natural. The beads are bone, metal and glass. These masks watch over our shop and when you have one in your home, you will know that the spirits are watching out for you and yours.

Dennis, is a full blooded Creek, Native American, who is matchless in his creations of authentic Native American artifacts, using methods, materials, and subjects from resources that were likewise used from original manufacturers of items selling to the Native Americans of the Southwest and Plains, and areas of this continent prior to arrival of Anglo-Americans to the land. He uses natural resources from all over the Central and Western United States and Canada. His creations use Coyote, American Buffalo, Deer, Elk, Fox, and Moose hides, and other animals considered sacred and/or spiritual totems to the Native Americans of the First Nation.
Creek Indians
Before the 18th century rolled around, the Creek Indians occupied quite a bit of the southeast United States, what we know now as Georgia and Alabama. They were part of a union that comprised a few other tribes that also lived in the area. It was believed that this Creek union was formed to protect itself from larger, marauding bands of Indians.
When colonists from Europe started flocking to this new world called America, they named the Creek Indians based on the Ocheese Creek (also known as the Ocmulgee River). It was the colonists’ habit to call the various Indian tribes names based on where the Indians lived at the time. Soon, there were too many colonists for the Creek Indians’ taste so the Indians moved to the west and spread out from what is now Alabama to the Oklahoma areas. Want to know more about the
